Haven't Heard

During our phone conversation Thursday, she said that they were hoping to get the contract finished by Friday.

I told myself it would be Tuesday at the earliest. 

That way I'm not disappointed when I don't hear on Friday.  

But if I did hear, I would be excited. 

It's now Monday and I haven't heard.

Now I'm telling myself it might be Thursday.  

Just so I don't stress myself out :-)
